what are the chances of having second child that has autism?
I am 23yrs old and have a 4yr old hat may have autism. I say may because it has been hard for me to get an actual diagnosts. Everyone says he has characteristics but its to early to diagnose. I basically know its autism. I believe is aspergers. He is very smart knows his colors, how to count, abcs, and can read some words. soo, I have told myself i dont want anymore kids because i want to focus only on him. But, i have been thinking….I am young and if/when i get married i may want another child. It wouldn’t be no time soon but maybe in a few years. What would be the risk of having another child with autism? i know initiall its 1 in 150. Is it the same ratio or does it go up? Any parents that had a child with autism and then had a second, whats your advice? Thanks
